  2. 1.I believe the poet put words in the bracket to clarify sarcasm and to explain or show the true meaning or intentions to the words that weren't in the bracket or she used them to side track the meaning of other sentences, sometimes this method is called paranthesises

    2.Features:
    Protagonist:The Woman being assaulted
    Antagonist:The Mob Of Men
Conflict:The Mob of Men planning to stone the woman to death due to her adulterous acts and crimes/sins
Dialogue:The Preacher Speaking to the Women in between the mob
Turning Point:The Preacher introduces himself and proceeds to change their mind and resolve the problem
Resolution: The preaches resolves the conflict by changing the minds of the men and letting them examine themselves to see that they aren't really different and they only judge her because of her gender

3.She committed adulterous acts and had sex with multiple men.
Her accompanying punishment was death by stone

  4. 1. I believe the reason why the poet words are in bracket is to show parenthesis which basically means a word, clause,or sentence inserted as an explanation or afterthought into a passage that is grammatically conplete without it,in writing usually marked off by curved brackets, dashes,or commas.
    2.●Protagonist-woman being assaulted
    ●Antagonist-The mob of men
●Conflict-A group of men caught a woman who seems to have committed some serious offence or violation punishable by stoning to death.
    ●Dialogue-Preacher speaks to the woman
●Turning point- Preacher proceeds to change their mind and solve the problem.
●The preacher let them take a good look at themselves and abort their mission. The men have not change or repented and are prepared to do the same thing again, but the woman survives.
3.The sin of the woman is one of sexual nature and the punishment is being stoned to death.

    1. Why do you believe the poet wrote some of the words in brackets? The poem wrote the word in the bracket to indicate that mostly all the women be that commit adultery is often the good looking woman. (‘they often are’).

adultery but there was a man that came to save her, I think was a preacher.
Dialogue: is where the preacher started talking to the girl but the lady never spoke to them.
Turning point: is when the man of God or the preacher trying to tell them what they are actually doing is actually is a sin.
Resolution: where they did not even pay attention to the paster when he was trying to tell them that what they were doing was a sin so they went ahead and stone the lady

  7. 1.I believe that some of the words were placed in brackets to express the speakers' thoughts and biased, prejudicial judgement attitudes and can also be referred to as parenthesis which is a qualifying, explanatory or appositive word, phrase, clause or sentence that interrupts a syntactic construction without affecting it.
2.Protagonist- The woman that was assaulted.
Antagonist- The group of men that assaulted the lady.
Conflict- A group of men caught a woman who seems to have committed some serious offence or violation punishable by stoning to death.
Dialogue- The guru, preacher, or God merchant spoke to the lady.
Turning point- When the guru spoke to her and saw in her something that the assaulters couldn't see and looks at them while they look at themselves with doubt and decided to walk away.
Resolution- The men decide not to harm the lady but their urges weren't completely faded but walked away still holding unto the stones that the might throw at her another day.

    3. The woman committed some kind of sexual crime as it was suggested in some lines of the poem. The sentence for this crime is being stoned to death.

different from the woman he talked to them and managed
    to change their minds.

    A stone’s throw

    1.
    * I think the poet wrote some of the words in bracket to emphasize the point that he previously stated, or to add facts to the point.
    2. “A stone’s throw” has features in common with a story:
    * Protagonist- “guru preacher, God merchant”
    * Antagonist- The greedy men who wanting to stone the women to death.
    * Conflict- The problem in the poem was when they caught the woman ( prostitute) and wanted to stone her for prostituting since it was a sin. The poem is about the throwing of stones, but it also refers to the troubling issue of violence against women; the occasional cases of women condemned to death by stoning in extreme states according to Sharia law.
    * Resolution- The problem was resolved when this “guru, preacher, God- merchant” who came and spoke to the woman, squatting in the ground to her level, writing her a message in the dust that the men couldn’t understand, changing the men’s angry thoughts. It brought shame upon them and caused them to change their minds.
    * Dialogue-
    - the villages- “we’ve got her, here she is, it’s her alright.”
    * Turning point- I think that the turning point in the poem was the “guru, preacher, God-merchant” changed the villagers mind to look at themselves before they try to persecute someone or judge them by what they’ve done, but when the men walked away they realized that they have sinned too, so who were they to judge?
    3.
    * The sin of the woman in a stone’s throw is that she committed adultery or prostituting. The accompanying punishment was that she was being prosecuted by the people of her village. The persona states that the woman has experienced men’s hands on her body before, also makes an assumption that if this crowd bruises her, it cannot be compared to what she has experienced before by the greedy men.

    • Conflict: A woman was caught performing adultery and a group of men took it upon themselves to assault and abuse her then further punish the woman by stoning her to death.
    • Dialogue: the stranger/ guru speaking to the sentenced woman and to the mob of men.
    • Turning point: The men were interrupted by the guru who talked to the woman then turned his attention on them showing them their faults too.
    • Resolution: The men decide against stoning the woman but don’t intend to change their ways.
