    Magic

    Character: Prospero
Prospero uses magic throughout the play. The incident of tempest and ship tossed during the storm was caused by the magic of Prospero and his servant Ariel, who created the illusion of a tempest. Prospero also has the power over the spirits of the island (including Ariel) and uses it for good, for example freeing Ariel from the dead spell of the witch Sycorax. Prospero also uses magic to keep himself and Miranda safe using magic.

    Romantic love

    Character: Ferdinand & Miranda
Ferdinand’s and Miranda’s love makes a freedom of slavery. Because he loves Miranda, Ferdinand is willing to be her slave. She in turn offers her loving self to him as a servant. In Act III scene I he calls her his “dear mistress’ (line 21) and endures the slavery Prospero has given him as “pleasures” (line 7), for her sake. Though she is an obedient loving daughter, she cannot help breaking several of Prospero’s commands to be with Ferdinand. Because of their love Ferdinand is freed from Prospero’s slavery

    Theme:Love
    Character: Miranda

Miranda was propero's daughter.she was isolated from people except her father. In this case Miranda fall in love with the third male person she had ever seenseen who was Ferninand. She fell for every good or nice words he told her.Miranda said to Ferninand "I am your wife, only if u marry me. If not I'll die your maid." This line emphasis on the way miranda had love ferninand and it also tells that she was going to slave her self for him or do any thing for him.

    THEME: MAGIC
    CHARACTER: PROSPERO

Magic have a big part to play throughout the whole of act 3 and 4 in the Tempest. It is use mainly by Prospero through Ariel and the other spirits to do his tasks. Some of the tasks Prospero do, is allowing Ariel to appear invisible to the characters and playing soft songs and drumming letting them enjoy listening to it without seeing and knowing who is doing it. Prospero also appeared invisible to Alonso and the others when they are tired and have them a banquet. By doing this he had some strange shape creatures appear and prepare the banquet for them, having them wondering what and who these creatures are. He even lets Ariel come again in the form of harpies and speaks to them of what they have done to him and disappearing with the banquet and everything he has set for them. All these things are Prospero’s work and he does them with magic. Without magic none of these things can come to life in the play.

    THEME: LOYALTY
    CHARACTER: ARIEL

Loyalty comes into the play just as magic does and is also a big part of it. Ariel doing mostly all of the magic work for Prospero proves how loyal he is to him. He never disobeys and does everything just how Prospero ask of him without hesitation. For instance, Prospero tells him how well he did when he appears to them during the banquet session and speak to them of all the evil things they did to Prospero and his daughter when he was the duke. Ariel tells Prospero everything that is happening, including the plans Caliban, Stephano and Trinculo are planning against him even though they do not know is Prospero that there are planning against. All these things are ways Ariel is being loyal to Prospero. Loyalty is also returned from Prospero as he tells Ariel once their work is done; he will set him and the other spirits free.
